Personata Song Revisions & Change Requests

At Personata Studios, every song is crafted from your story — and we want the final track to feel exactly right. After you receive your first version, you can request revisions based on your package.

Revisions included by package

• Signature: 1 included revision
• Heirloom: 3 included revisions
• Sonic Branding: 3 included revisions

Your included revisions are meant to help us fine-tune the song you ordered — not to turn it into a completely different project.

How to request a revision

1. Tell us what you want changed
   Point to the exact lyric line or timestamp and tell us what you want instead (or what the emotion/meaning should be).
2. We confirm what’s included
   If your request is within your included revisions, we’ll proceed. If it’s a bigger change, we’ll tell you upfront and quote an add-on.
3. We deliver your updated version
   We’ll send the revised track and confirm whether you have any included revisions remaining.

What revisions typically cover (included)

Included revisions usually mean refining the song you already ordered, such as:

• Small lyric tweaks (names, dates, specific details, clearer wording)
• Adjusting a line so it matches your story more accurately
• Minor phrasing changes so lyrics sing more naturally
• Pronunciation fixes
• Light production polish as needed (balance/levels/clarity)

Changes that usually require an additional fee

Some requests require substantial new production work. If your request falls into this category, we’ll quote it before doing the work.

Common add-on examples:

• Changing the genre or style direction (e.g., acoustic → pop, country → EDM)
• Big tempo shifts or a full re-arrangement
• Major perspective change (first-person → third-person, “from me” → “from parents,” etc.)
• Replacing large sections (new chorus, multiple new verses, or a new storyline direction)
• Creating multiple alternates (radio edit, extended version, instrumental, cutdowns, etc.)
• For Sonic Branding: additional cutdowns, variations, tags, or expanded deliverable sets beyond what your package includes

Requests we may not be able to offer

We’ll always do our best, but some requests may be limited by availability or production constraints. Examples include:

• Re-recording your song as a “cover” by a different genre or sounding vocal may change the entire structure of the song
• Extremely detailed micro-edits to vocal performance (example: asking for a very specific run/note change on a single word)
• Full instrumentation rebuilds after the direction is approved (especially if it changes the song’s core feel)
• A complete rewrite using customer-supplied lyrics that effectively creates a brand-new song (we can do it, but it’s typically treated as a new project or a paid add-on)

If you’re unsure, just ask — we’ll tell you what’s realistic and what it would take.

Revision turnaround depends on workload and the scope of changes. We’ll give you a timeline when we confirm your request.
